GLOBAL CREATIVE PRODUCT

Through the recommendation of the African Centre and Nike Jonah (Co-founder of the Pan African Creative Exchange),  Our Creative Director Joshua Alabi was  invited as a faculty member to the Performance Epistemologies of the Global Majority Summer School, a five-day intensive held in the heart of London. This prestigious program was sponsored by the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Northwestern University, which took place alongside the Performance Studies International Annual Conference PSI29.

The summer school centered on the numerous and alternative ways of knowing that emerge from Black, Global Majority, and indigenous cultures. It brought together prominent international scholars from dance, theatre, and performance studies whose work attends to the politics, practices, and pleasures of how Black, Global Majority, and Indigenous epistemologies shape performance thinking and making, alongside postgraduate and doctoral students.

He also participated in a panel hosted by the African Centre in London on “Being a Black Artistic Director in a Time of Polycrisis,” where he shared insights on navigating leadership challenges in contemporary creative practice.
