Edgar Eriakha
Performer | Digital Marketer
Edgar Eriakha, professionally known as Check Edgar, is a theatre-trained performer and digital marketing strategist working at the intersection of live performance and measurable brand growth. He holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos (2017), where he specialised in Acting and Theatre Publicity & Marketing, a rare blend that shaped his understanding of both performance and audience engagement.
On stage, Edgar is best known for his instinctive, character-driven comedy. His performances are grounded, precise, and deeply human, marked by strong physicality, expressive timing, and an ability to read the room. He has performed in Kininso Koncepts productions including Waterside, Cream Body, Dialing Love, and Jungle Justice, as well as classical works such as Wole Soyinka’s Child Internationale. Edgar does not exaggerate for effect; he finds humour in truth, making laughter his most consistent currency.
Off stage, Edgar is the founder of Ragde Space Limited, a digital marketing agency serving clients across fintech, entertainment, and media. His portfolio includes fintech brands such as VeloRemit and StraitPay, alongside major theatre productions including Waterside, Come and Be Going, Blue Roses, and A Life of Colours.
His expertise spans social media strategy, content and brand voice development, email marketing, SEO, analytics, and audience growth. What distinguishes his work is his ability to apply theatrical principles; pacing, emotion, tension, and payoff, to digital campaigns.
As creator and host of the podcast Why Am I Still Single?, Edgar achieved a 735% increase in watch time, built 3.9k top fans, and recorded 992% audience growth in 2025, demonstrating how strategic storytelling converts attention into sustained engagement.
Through Check Edgar, Edgar is building a media brand rooted in comedy, storytelling, and cultural commentary, where performance and marketing function as one. He helps theatre companies grow audiences, brands find their voice, and creators turn presence into platform.
At the core of his work is a single belief:
Every story is a performance. Every performance is strategic. And every audience deserves to feel something.
