Angela Peters

PROGRAM/PROJECT MANAGER

Angela Peters is a creative consultant and producer with over 8 years of experience and has  successfully planned and executed works that address diversity, equality and inclusion, climate , gender based violence, digital rights/freedom, mental wellbeing, corruption, criminal justice  across Nigeria, South Africa, and Germany. She is passionate about building capacity in Young people within the creative economy. Angela Peters heads the Operations & Project department at Kininso Koncepts. Angela has developed a reputation for delivering exceptional performances that leave a lasting impact on her audiences.

In addition to her role at Kininso Koncepts, Angela Peters serves as the Festival Director for the Kininso International Festival of Theatre “KIFT”, a festival dedicated to showcasing works for early years, children, and teenagers.  Her passion for the arts extends beyond the stage as she has worked as a producer on several impactful projects including; “Cream Body” a theatre performance on skin bleaching and colorism, “SNIPER” A campaign against depression and suicide, “Fix Politics” a social media campaign on anticorruption, accountability, transparency and good governance.

Angela’s producing credits also includes; Roots & Blossoms Production’s “Nina Simone” at Vrystaat Art festival (PACE) Bloemfontein, South Africa, “Queen Moremi the Musical Reloaded” for House of Oduduwa production and His Imperial Majesty, The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. With the influence of Kininso Koncepts, Angela set up the first ever all-female director’s workshop in Nigeria, the Directors Roundtable “DRT” with the goal of having more young women take up roles in the film and theatre industry.  She worked as a project coordinator for “KF-LAB”, a collaboration between Kininso Koncepts and Watershed Bristol. The project trained young people on digital storytelling and the business of creativity in 2021. She also managed “SKIN-TONE” a research project for Fratz International Festival Berlin 2020, Along with Joshua Alabi she produced “Dear Beloved Friend” Africa’s first ever mixed reality theatre performance a coproduction with Dutch director Dries Verhoeven (StudioDriesVehoeven).

Reflecting her diverse skills and achievements, Angela holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Nexford University, as well as certifications in leadership and Management from Luxury Academy London, Basic Leadership/Project management from Daystar Leadership Academy, Digital Marketing from from Orange Academy Lagos and project Management for Operational Excellence from the Lagos Business School. She is also a Salzburg Global fellow, underscoring her recognition within the international arts community.
