Contemporary Performance

Expanding our reach to the UK was a dream come true, with meetings at prestigious theaters, universities, and cultural institutions.

Through the support of Zarts Manchester, we were invited by the Manchester Metropolitan University to facilitate a workshop and artistic exchange on Contemporary Performance Lab with talented MA/MFA students. The workshop, led by Creative Director  Joshua Alabi focused on developing artist researchers who devise original, innovative performances with 14 students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Participants were guided through the processes and methodologies of creating works at Kininso Koncepts, and they were in awe of the amazing projects we had embarked on. They were curious to learn more about our approach to devising works through experimentation with stories, body, and spaces, as well as the sustainability practices we’ve developed over the years that cater to the needs of artists across the globe.
