The Gods Are Strange
The project “TRUST for an Inclusive Nigeria” aims to promote and educate for a more inclusive Nigeria, where individuals with special needs are trusted and included in the academic and professional spheres. This initiative is led by the Goethe-Institute Nigeria. As part of this project, Kininso Koncepts has been commissioned to develop a stage performance that explores the theme of trust, drawing inspiration from the book “The Gods Are Strange” written by Bukola Ayinde. Bukola is not only a life coach and author but also an advocate for disability inclusion and mental health. She is the founder of the Diary of Special Needs Mum Initiative.
Collaborating with students and drama teachers from the Corona Secondary School Agbara, Kininso Koncepts will bring the book to life through a dramatic adaptation. The performance is scheduled to be showcased on the 5th of May 2023 at Corona Secondary School Agbara, located in Ogun State. This stage production aims to raise awareness about the importance of trust and inclusion for individuals with special needs, contributing to the overall objectives of the “TRUST for an Inclusive Nigeria” project.
